- The pipeline consists of 46 km. of 42" dia. pipeline between the Obite Treatment Centre and the Rumuji Node where the pipeline joins the GTS No. 4 pipeline. The pipeline crosses approximately 16 km. of seasonal swamps where it is concrete coated, road, rail and river crossings. Included in the project was the complete installation of a fiber optic cable with all necessary connections, such as leak and shock detection systems, SCADA upgrading, cathodic protection, instrumentation, CCTV and lighting. In this joint venture project with Baywood Continental Limited, Zakhem was responsible for the engineering coordination, project management, construction and commissioning.
